Significance of this drop

Our goal at Sin Miedo isn’t to be just another trendy street-ware brand. Rather we strive to be a vessel of expression for our culture and community. Being Mexican or a person of color comes with its complications but we’d choose this heritage every lifetime.

Growing up in Ventura county (Oxnard specifically), strawberries are what we have to take pride in about where we grew up at. Since an age where I was able to comprehend anything I can always remember my family being proud that we’re globally known for our delicious fruit. Deeper than that, a strawberry signifies struggle, hard labor, at times unfair wages, and for many it’s the only way to make ends meet as an undocumented immigrant from Mexico. This was the case for my grandpa who migrated from Leon, Guadalajara. I have him to thank for every possible opportunity I have as a U.S citizen. I have strawberry fields to thank for providing the setting where my grandma and grandpa met and fell in love. Two generations later I’m proud to be able to create a brand and platform with my best friend Alex Sarti for similar stories to be told and art to be made from the love, pain, sacrifice, and tremendous pride our people hold to make it from the ground up.
